What a truly fantastic occasion we had catering for Julie and Kevin’s birthday party last weekend! At Hog Roast Newmarket, we take immense pride in being a part of family celebrations, and this event was no exception. It was a delightful experience celebrating this lovely couple’s special day in the comfort of their own back garden.
Head Chef Tim and his dedicated team arrived at Julie and Kevin’s home several hours before the festivities began to ensure everything was perfectly prepared for their special day. Our first priority was to set up the marquee and the necessary equipment, creating a welcoming environment for their guests. Tim took great care in placing the hog onto the spit, ready to start the slow-roasting process. There’s something special about the anticipation that builds as the meat cooks, filling the air with its rich aroma– and the guests soon were drawn in by the gorgeous smell as they awaited their meals.
In addition to the classic hog roast, we were also asked to offer a selection of BBQ favourites.. Our menu included tender ribs, juicy sausages, and flavourful burgers, which were complimented by an array of side and sauces. And not forgetting vegans and vegetarians, the couple also asked us to provide meat-free options, including grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, as well as a selection of fresh sides salads.
Once the party came to an end, the Hog Roast Newmarket team boxed up the leftover and left it with guests, so they could tuck in when they got peckish throughout the evening. We were delighted to receive so many positive comments about the quality of food and our service – and were even promised to be recommended to mutual friends.
