Hog Roast Coddenahm – Cheers To Cider And Sizzling Flavours!

Hog Roast SuffolkSuffolk, with its rolling green fields and rich history, might be the crown jewel of the English countryside, but there’s another sparkling gem in our treasure chest—cider! Though we might not be the UK’s top cider-making region, Suffolk proudly boasts a diverse lineup of local brewers. And, last week, the county buzzed with excitement as our cider festival took centre stage, celebrating the fruity delights crafted by our very own cider artisans.

The air was alive with the clinking of cider glasses and the cheerful hum of festival-goers sampling everything from classic apple ciders to daringly different fruit blends. From small-scale artisans to beloved household names, the cider makers truly outdid themselves. It was a joyous toast to Suffolk’s liquid gold, showcasing a flavour spectrum that was a testament to the dedication of this age-old craft. But what’s cider without a feast to match? Suffolk isn’t just about apples—we’ve got pork that’s the stuff of legends! Thanks to our special light soil, our free-range pigs grow slowly and naturally, resulting in pork that’s rich in flavour and perfectly marbled with fat. So, when it came to pairing our local cider with delectable bites, Hog Roast Coddenahm was the perfect choice.

Led by the ever-enthusiastic catering manager, Tim, Hog Roast Coddenahm’s catering team was on fire, serving up our show-stopping hog roast rolls. Each roll was a culinary masterpiece, stuffed with tender pulled pork, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and a dollop of homemade applesauce. These weren’t just sandwiches—they were flavour explosions wrapped in a bun! But we didn’t stop there. For those craving variety, we also had handmade gourmet sausages nestled in hot dog buns with all the classic toppings. And because we believe in catering to all, we had a vegan option too—BBQ-pulled jackfruit buns that were just as scrumptious.

The festival was a sensory overload in the best way possible. With live music setting a lively vibe and fairground rides and games keeping the youngerSpitting Pig Suffolk crowd entertained, it was a day filled with joy and laughter. Even dogs got in on the action – and Hog Roast Coddenahm is pleased to share that not only did we earn the human guests’ seal of approval, but their furry companions were also fast fans!
