That was exactly the scene when our team arrived at Felixstowe & Walton United Football Club earlier this month to cater for their annual prize giving event.
Held on Dellwood Avenue in Felixstowe, the evening welcomed 250 guests including players, coaches, families and loyal supporters, who all came together to celebrate the season’s achievements. With a serve time of 6:30pm, there was already a sense of excitement building before the food was announced. After months of training sessions and intense match days, everyone was more than ready to relax and enjoy a memorable evening together.
Our whole roasted pig became the talking point of the night, served with crisp crackling, sage and onion stuffing, sweet apple sauce and a selection of fresh bread rolls and wraps. Guests quickly started to gather around the serving area, sharing stories about the season whilst building their perfect hog roast rolls. Events like these always remind our team of how food becomes part of the atmosphere and how easily it can bring people together, just as much as the trophies and speeches do. We also made sure vegetarian and vegan guests had plenty of options throughout the evening. The grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers are always a popular choice, served with wraps, tzatziki dip and sweet chilli sauce, while the vegan pulled jackfruit in hickory BBQ sauce, proved equally as tasty as the meat options. Seeing guests return for seconds is always one of the best compliments our team can receive.
