This weekend brought a very special event to Hog Roast Woodbridge. All summer long we have been serving up stylish delights for weddings and wedding adjacent events. It’s what the summer season is typically all about at Hog Roast Woodbridge. Some might think that we would get a little sick of it and look forward to a reprieve with something else as we enter into autumn, but not so!
As we kick of September we’ve continued as we’ve been going on. If the opportunity to cater for a wedding comes up, we are going to say yes to it all the same. Especially if that opportunity takes us to the beautiful Stables at Tannington Hall – a highlight of Suffolk’s wedding venues.
It was here that Hog Roast Woodbridge had the pleasure of serving up our full wedding package for a wonderful bride and groom and many of their closest friends and family. When it comes to our wedding services, some customers are just looking for something nice and comforting to go with their special day; others want the works. This event definitely fell into the latter, which you would have been able to tell right away as soon as you drove up to the Stables. An immaculately put together, and we had the pleasure of adding to that awe-inspiring experience for arriving guests as we welcomed each into the reception with a selection of freshly made canapes. Pan seared mini fillets of beef, tomato and halloumi crostini’s, roasted duck wraps and spring rolls, and a variety of mini quiches with fresh fillings.
The colour and variety didn’t end there. Our official dining experience then began with antipasti platters served to each guest table – an arrangement of the finest Italian meats and cheeses with artisanal breads and dipping oils. For the main course, a hog roast buffet with all the trimmings, including an addition of marinated chicken thighs, seasonal leafy greens, buttered new potatoes, tomato and mozzarella salad, and gourmet slaw. For anyone with room left after all that, desserts of cheesecake and profiteroles with fresh cream.
