We’re not just all about the pigs here at Hog Roast Southwold; we can sometimes be all about the dogs, too! When it comes to travelling across the UK to cater and attend events, so often we’ll meet many little furry guests that certainly have a keen eye (and nose) for a good pork roast or a sausage. We’re always more than happy to see your dogs at events. It’s one of the perks of the job that we get to meet so many people…but sometimes we also get to meet their pets, too!
Across our social media channels you may see us spotlighting some of these furry guests when we attend events. We are constantly amazed how many of your dog’s remain so well behaved, even with the extreme temptation of our selection of roasted and grilled meats on show! They’re always first in line, but they do set an orderly queue very well, so with, permission from the owners, sometimes if these dogs are good enough they may get thrown a small treat or two – because of course they deserve it!
It’s not always just our guests that have their dogs out to see the pigs, though! As so many of our Hog Roast Southwold teams are independently run, sometimes we have families and couples that head up their own catering team. If they’ve got a dog of their own, it may have to come along during the longer days. But don’t worry, these dogs of Hog Roast Southwold have been around hog roasting more than some of our own servers, so they know how to behave while our chefs are cooking. We don’t let them get in the way of doing what we do, nor do we allow them to mess with our high bar for hygiene. They may, however, come around for attention at your event – because sometimes they just can’t let the hog roast be the star of the show when there is a good boy around that demands to be petted!
