You’ve heard us talk about it all before. The summer season is wedding season at Hog Roast Harleston. Our weekends are more often than not filled with back to back weddings all summer long – and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
A grand part of the wedding season is the incredible venues and landmarks we get to come out to. Year on year we continue to be amazed by the uniqueness and the special novelties that bride, grooms, and wedding planners and venue are able to come up with. Our featured wedding event from this past weekend was one such venue, as the Hog Roast Harleston team headed out to Rookery Meadow for the wedding of Tom and Lucy.
Rookery Meadow is a glamping spot; it is set up year round to be a quaint and beautiful spot in the wilds with lake views and 9 acres of space containing multiple ancient oaks. For weddings, up to 2 acres can be privately yours to do with as you like. Described as a true blank canvas wedding venue, you can set out your wedding how you like with the use of tipi tents and the like to make it quiet, quaint, cosy and magical spot to say “I do” in.
The Hog Roast Harleston team were instantly taken in by the magic of the place. Sometimes when you arrive to an event you just know it’s going to be a truly special one. This was that. Tom and Lucy had set the place out beautifully; it would be the stuff of dreams to get married in such a spot with private lake cresting out beyond during your vows. As far as somewhere to cook and cater in, it was just as special too.
And our dining matched to that specialness too. A grand feast consisting of our signature hog roast, rotisserie chicken, roasted new potatoes, gourmet coleslaw, Caesar salad, and a cooling tomato and mozzarella salad – a rustic style of dining for a rustic style of venue out in the woods!
Tim and the Hog Roast Harleston team would like to thank Tom and Lucy once more for taking us to such a special spot and for including our catering with your majestic wedding!
