Family occasions are some of our favourites here at Hog Roast Beccles. As family people ourselves, it is always such a joy to join someone else’s for an afternoon or evening and see the same love that is shared between them. When you have family and great dining by your side, there is always great cause to celebrate.
That goes doubly so when it is your birthday – your 65th, to be exact. This was the case with Beccles resident Stephen, who just this past weekend enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration surrounded by close friends, family, and our Hog Roast Beccles head chef Tim. Marking 65 years is a special moment, so Stephen pulled out all the stops to make it a celebration well worth the milestone. 24 guests all piled round to the house where our head chef Tim had a brilliant gourmet barbecue awaiting them. A touch of summer fun, some birthday celebration, the sun out, and great barbecue dining to enjoy – what better a gift could there be?

You know your burgers and sausages, but what about if they were handmade in gourmet style with quality local meats and ingredients. And what if they were also joined by some truly unique dining options, such as our Thai spiced chicken kebabs, BBQ marinated spare ribs, and our freshly made pulled pork taken straight from our signature hog roast. Now that is a barbecue well worthy of a birthday celebration!
With 24 to feed, Tim was out on the grill right the way through the afternoon keeping the burgers, the sausages, ribs and kebabs coming. Our hog roast had also cooked earlier in the day so that the pull pork was never far away. Roll after roll, wrap after wrap – no ask was too great on this wonderful sunny birthday afternoon!
