Alan is the manager of a local village hall, and he is in charge of organising events throughout the year to appeal to the local community. With the summer holidays beginning, he contacted Hog Roast Lavenham to arrange catering for a family fun day event, aimed at keeping the children busy for a day! Alongside the menu, Alan had also organised several sporting events, crafts, face painting, balloon animals, and party games. The event was set to be a lot of fun for guests of all ages, with an expected turnout of 100 guests. The Hog Roast Lavenham team was more than happy to get involved with catering for this event and we got to work preparing our menu.
On the day of the event, our team arrived at the village hall early to prepare our catering station. Once set up, we began to cook the mains, which included slow-roasted pork, as well as tasty pork sausages and veggie sausages. These dishes were served in fresh bread rolls, with a gluten-free alternative also available. For the side dishes, we served seasonal salad options, homemade chips, sage and onion stuffing, sweet potato fries, and homemade applesauce. The menu was ideal for this family-friendly event, as it had dishes that appealed to every guest. The menu was a great alternative to this successful event!
