Christmas is For Community with Hog Roast Kersey

Hog Roast KerseyOne of the founding beliefs of our catering service is that event catering is all about community. From our team itself headed up by Tim, to the local businesses we serve both as a caterer and a supplier of roasting machines, and as a purchaser for local meats and foods, to the many incredible folks we encounter at each and every event all across Suffolk. Catering is nothing if not community focused, and that has always been our intent at Hog Roast Suffolk.

Good dining has the power to bring people together. That is what events largely are: a place where friends, family, colleagues, come together just to enjoy a small slice of time in each other’s company with good food and good cause for celebration. Christmas adds to that tenfold. Christmas should always be about your community and the people you love as part of it. We share gifts, we share a day, we share a large Christmas feast, all as part of the festive community spirit. As a caterer the festive period is easily our most busy, but we head into every Christmas event with plenty of enthusiasm and passion because we know that what we are doing is important to creating and prolonging that community spirit around Suffolk.

Hog Roast KerseyWe have a proven track record of trying to support our own community, too. As it is so important to the Hog Roast Kersey team and to owner and Head Chef Tim, last Christmas we were fortunate enough to be in a position to organise our very own event for those in need of an extra bit of Christmas care. It’s rare that we host our very own events – normally we just serve for others – but we considered it extremely important to support the Suffolk community that need it most at what can be considered one of the more difficult times of year for many. That is why we organised with a local community and invited elderly village members, low-income families, and anyone else in need to join us for a free turkey dinner provided by the Hog Roast Kersey team. We had around 50 join us at that day; we were just happy to have given them somewhere to partake in the community and show them that the Suffolk community, including Hog Roast Kersey, will always be there for them.
