On the 13th of July, Hog Roast Kesgrave catered for a wonderful event to celebrate Jocelyn & Andy’s 30th wedding anniversary. The anniversary party took place at Kesgrave War Memorial Community Centre, which was the perfect venue for the occasion, with plenty of space for the 100 guests. The Hog Roast Kesgrave team was looking forward to catering for this event and our manager Tim had been hired to provide our classic hog roast menu, which was sure to be a success. This menu is our most popular option, since it is such a versatile and delicious choice!
On the day of the party, Tim and the Hog Roast Kesgrave team arrived at the venue in Ipswich in the morning, ensuring that we had plenty of time to prepare for the 15:00 serving time. We started our prep by slow-roasting the hog and allowing the pork to cook to perfection for around 5 hours. Once the succulent meat was packed full of natural juices and flavours, it was expertly carved by our chef and served alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, with a selection of fresh bread rolls and wraps. We also served BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious plant-based alternative to pork. The main dishes were accompanied by gourmet coleslaw and a fresh green leaf salad, to create a varied and delicious afternoon meal. We served our menu buffet style, which was perfect for allowing the party guests to enjoy exactly what they wanted for their lunch. Our menu was a great addition to the occasion and it was great to see the happy couple enjoying their anniversary in style!
