Jason and his partner got engaged last month and have since hosted an engagement party to share the news with friends and family. The couple wanted to make the most of the news by hosting a big celebration, which will also prepare them for planning their wedding ceremony and reception in the future. For their engagement party, the couple planned a party to take place in their garden, which was decorated with floral arrangements, candles, and fairy lights. For the catering, Hog Roast Framlingham was hired to serve a buffet menu to the guests, in the form of our classic hog roast menu. Jason chose this menu as it is a versatile option and tastes delicious, despite being simplistic.
On the day of the menu, the Hog Roast Framlingham arrived at the couples’ home with plenty of time to set up and prepare the catering. Our station was set up in the back garden under a gazebo to shelter us from the sun and the possible impending showers! We began by preparing the hog, which needed to be roasted slowly for approximately 5 hours, as this ensures that the meat is tender and delicious. Once ready, it was carved and served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls available upon request. As well as the main dish, we served a variety of tasty accompaniments to create a tasty and varied meal. Our catering was a great addition to this event, especially since we provided a drinks service that allowed the happy couple to make their big announcement!
