A Wedding Feast to Remember at Wilderness Reserve with Hog Roast Halesworth

Hog Roast GuntonHere at Hog Roast Halesworth we are experts in bringing happy couples unique visions to life and that is exactly what we provided for Anna and Dec’s celebration on 10th May at Chapel Barn Estate within the Wilderness Reserve in Suffolk and the event felt like something really special. With rolling countryside, charm and peaceful backdrop, it was the perfect setting for a relaxed and memorable afternoon, shared with 105 of their closest friends and family.

Guests began to arrive from 4pm and we loved being part of an event that was filled with laughter and that excited atmosphere you only get when two people are about to begin a new chapter together. Our catering manager Tim ensured that the service was kept simple, with delicious and generous portions which guests enjoyed while mingling. That’s exactly where Hog Roast Halesworth thrived.

The centrepiece of the feast was a perfectly slow roasted whole pig served with savoury stuffing. The menu immediately drew guests in, with the happy couple’s loved ones gathering around to watch it being carved before loading up their plates with tender pork in soft bread rolls and wraps. To make sure everyone was included in the celebration, a tasty veggie and vegan option was also served, offering guests an alternative full of flavour that could be served alongside the main roast with the same care and attention as the rest of the menu. No guest felt like an afterthought and the balance helped the whole meal feel inclusive and welcoming.

Alongside the main dishes, guests could help themselves to a satisfying selection of fries, whether piled into wraps or enjoyed on the side, it was all about easy, satisfying food that kept everyone fueled for a full afternoon of celebration.

All menu items were served with fresh bread rolls, wraps and eco-friendly bamboo crockery, keeping things simple and perfectly complemented the natural surroundings of the venue. It meant guests could focus on what really mattered, enjoying themselves, catching up and celebrating Anna and Dec’s big day without any worries.

Weddings like this are exactly why we do what we do at Hog Roast Halesworth. Good food can have a way of bringing people together and creating moments that guests remember long after the last plate is cleared. From the first carving to the final helping, we really enjoyed being part of such a meaningful celebration.

To our happy couple Anna and Dec, we hope you enjoyed your special day and had a chance to tuck into the menu in between speeches, dancing and sharing memories with your loved ones. Thank you for trusting us with your day and allowing us to be a part of something special.

So, if you’re planning a wedding or special event and want to serve up food that feels generous and hearty, we are here to make it happen.
