Spitting Pig

A Perfect Match with Catering at Pigs in Blankets Campsite

Hog Roast SuffolkSometimes two things going together just make so much sense that you almost have to wonder how it took this long to get there. At the weekend, Hog Roast Southwold had the pleasure of joining up with the Pigs in Blankets Campsite at Broadside Park Farm to cater a very special dinner for residents staying on site.

With our name and theirs, the tow parties joining together just seemed so obvious. We are the experts in all things pigs with our signature hog roast beloved at events all across the country. To work with a business called Pigs in Blankets was almost too perfect. From the moment we saw their first message request we knew we right away that we had to accept the job.

And we are so glad we did because this was a really fun weekend to cater in. The Pigs in Blankets campsite looked excellent; the Hog Roast Southwold team had plenty of space to set up our equipment and catering tables in and get to cooking. Having an outdoor campsite is perfectly ideal for our hog roasting process, as it means we can cook it outdoors where the ventilation is best – and the traditional spit roasting process gets to show off its full fiery spectacle. On a colder autumn weekend with temperatures finally beginning to drop, it was just the thing to keep guests feeling cosy at the campsite. To get them feeling even cosier, our dining options then consisted of our hog roast, fresh apple sauce, crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing, grilled veg and halloumi skewers, roasted new potatoes, tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed salad, and coleslaw.

Fortunately, we weren’t the only ones that really loved this joint pig-named business cooperation. The Hog Roast Southwold team were delighted to receive some lovely feedback from the folks at Pigs in Blankets. They called attention to the deliciousness of our food, the effort and total control of our staff in keeping everything running perfectly, and the glowing feedback that came back from all of their guests too. Hopefully this can be the beginning of something beautiful with Hog Roast Southwold and Pigs in Blankets!
