On the 24th of August 2025, we had the absolute pleasure of catering a wonderful summer party at Hawkins Farm Riding Stables in Mendlesham, Stowmarket. Mark and Abby gathered 100 guests for an afternoon of laughter, sunshine, and incredible food, and we were thrilled to bring our Hog Roast Stowmarket service to life.From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing. Our catering manager Tim and the team set up early to ensure everything ran seamlessly, ready to serve at 4pm. We pride ourselves not only on our food but also on creating a professional, friendly service that lets our hosts fully relax and enjoy their day. And this event was no exception, every member of the team was dedicated to making sure guests were well looked after.
The menu was a real showstopper. Our gourmet BBQ, complete with hand-made British beef burgers, chef’s own gourmet sausages, Thai chicken kebabs, and meaty marinated spareribs, had something for everyone. Alongside these, the whole roasted pig with golden crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and tangy apple sauce truly brought the Hog Roast Stowmarket experience to life. Guests loved piling their plates high with bread rolls, wraps, and of course, our homemade sides and salads.
We also made sure there were plenty of options for vegetarian and vegan guests. From grilled vegetable skewers to BBQ pulled jackfruit buns bursting with smoky flavour, there was no shortage of choice. Freshly made chips and sweet potato fries, served with a variety of dips and sauces, rounded off the feast perfectly.
But what really stood out for us was the atmosphere of joy and connection throughout the day. Watching guests come together over great food is why we love what we do. Mark and Abby’s kind words afterwards truly meant a lot: “The whole experience exceeded my expectations, all members of staff were great on the day and the food was absolutely amazing… we will most definitely be booking with you again in the future.” Feedback like this is exactly why our Hog Roast Stowmarket team is so passionate about creating memorable events.
